Always in My Heart

As the Japanese begin their assault on Singapore Sarah Fuller and her sister Jane are forced to leave their parents and Sarah's fiancé Philip behind. The long journey to England is fraught with danger and they don't even know if their great-aunt Cordelia is alive let alone waiting for them. They arrive in Cliffehaven on the south coast of England and here Sarah and Jane must find work to support themselves. When the Forestry Commission takes over Lord Cliffe's estate they enlist into the Timber Corps and becomes Lumberjills. But as time goes on and the news of events in Singapore worsen Sarah fears they will never see Philip and their parents again.
